May 23, 2020, Memorial Day weekend, a time to remember those who made the greatest sacrifice protecting our nation. The successor to Rolling Thunder, the new official Rolling to Remember (RTR) parade was canceled due to continued concerns over the coronavirus and the pandemic which has swept the nation over the last few months.
The COVID-19 pandemic has affected everyone differently. There is little which has remained unchanged due to this international crisis which has shaped and continues to shape daily life in the United States and across the world. Tradition however is still tradition and despite the cancelation of many Memorial Day events, many die-hard fans of motorcycles and riding, ventured out to honor and show their support for those who have fallen in battle.
Can’t stop, won’t stop. The sound of hundreds of motorcycles rumbling down the asphalt as the Rolling to Remember enthusiasts continued the annual motorcycle parade down to the Capital of our great nation, is a testament to our determination to persevere.
